In prepared alternative storyline for RoP the realm of Mordor what we know from 3rd Age, become to be from the lush green realm with wide and deep forest simmilar to Mirkwood in the north, instead of Gorgoroth (plains of ashes) there were a Risiltarma (Circle forrest), instead of Mordor (Realm of Shadow) there were a Yón Amborisil (Realm of Ring Mountains), but that realm was not mean to survive for long...
There lived many human settlers around the Nurn, under protection of elven realm, they all later become slaves of Mordor that raised crops to feed wide armies of Sauron.
